adidas Originals Superstar 80s x BAPE
Throughout the streetwear and fashion industry there is a common tendency to collect things: sneakers, toys, art, t-shirt graphics, books and magazines. Most notably is the collectable Japanese streetwear magazines published by brands from that scene. One of the most coveted is the BAPE E-MOOK, still in production today, however the most sought after are those from the mid 2000's - this campaign is an homage to that time period. To highlight the adidas Originals Superstar 80s x BAPE, SNS have linked with Freddie Gibbs to present the iconic silhouette through the lens of the golden era of Japanese streetwear, photography, styling, design and Nigo in print.
The latest take on the adidas Superstar is the classic BAPE green camo that features asymmetrical branding on the upper, as the BAPE shooting star graphic shares placement with adidas’ three stripes. An additional feature includes co-branding appearing on the tongue and heel, while a gold deubré rounds out the look.
