Nearly 30 years ago, Nike touched new grounds with the release of the first women’s exclusive Air Max shoe, a silhouette solely dedicated to females sporting the visible Air cushioning, the Air Verona. Back then, the ad said: The Air Verona for Running by Nike, a slogan underlining the performance background of the lightweight silhouette. Today, Nike Sportswear pays homage to the original Nike running shoe for women with the reintroduction of the new Air Max Verona. Borrowing elements from other iconic Swoosh-catalog-sneakers such as the Air Max 90 and lifting the heel so that more Air fits under the heel, the new version is a kind of like a big deal, matching the needs of pretty sharp female dressers. SNS: You guys all work for SNS in different departments, Sandra, you run our Stockholm store, and Tatiana and Hanna, you both are part of our customer service team. How has your love for sneakers developed since working in this industry? Hanna: I have always been into the the fashion industry, and starting to work for SNS has truly developed my inspiration and love for sneakers. Tatiana and I are both fortunate to be communicating daily with the sneaker community which gives us a great understanding of what the market appreciates and not. This has actually made me feel like I can understand the community and be a part of it.
You are getting in touch with the finest sneakers daily; can you see a trend that people look for, and what is in your current rotation? Trends come and go... in the last 3 years we’ve seen Yeezy, Off White, and Dad shoes all be on top of the sneaker-trends. Personally, I will always stick to my classics. I rotate my Black chucks and my latest green OW Dunks.
From looking at your Instagram feeds, we can see that style and fashion are omnipresent. You are mixing and matching quite the pieces there, from self-made garments to high-fashion accessories, how important are sneakers in your daily outfit choice? I would say pretty important! Before I pick any outfit, I need to know what shoes I’m gonna wear. I think I can speak for everyone when I say that the right pair of shoes can make whatever outfit look bomb.
When scrolling further, it becomes clear that you wear your sneakers, it doesn’t matter how coveted, you rock them. Are you not scared that your shoes are getting dirty and what’s your favorite pair in your collection? Personally, I’d like to wear the shoes I buy, and if wearing them means they’ll get dirty, then that’s what they’re for. So obviously, my favorite pair is also my most beat pair: my white Nike Air Jordan 1 x Off White. They’re completely trashed, and barely wearable.
The Nike Air Max Verona is a new silhouette from the Swoosh, what other Nike shoes are you looking forward to this year? I love the Sacai collections, and I’m truly hoping to see more of those kind of collaborations!

How has your love for sneakers developed since working in this industry? Sandra: After many years in the industry it’s not just love for the sneakers it’s love for the culture. The opportunity to work with products that you love and with people that share the same interest is priceless.
You are getting in touch with the finest sneakers daily; can you see a trend that people look for, and what is in your current rotation? People are not afraid to wear sneakers that stands out. They want something different, something that reflects their own style. But at the same time people are also looking for an everyday sneaker. My current rotation is Dunks and Air Jordan 1’s.

When I choose what sneakers to wear it reflects my mood during that day.

Are you not scared that your shoes are getting dirty and what’s your favorite pair in your collection? A bit, but it’s all worth it. I won’t feel the joy by having a pair of sneakers if I won’t wear them. I have many favorite pairs, but today I’m wearing a pair of Air Jordan 1 “Chicago” and even if they’re not that fresh after all these years I still love wearing them.
The Nike Air Max Verona is a new silhouette from the Swoosh, what other Nike shoes are you looking forward to this year? I’m looking forward to Air Max day. Air Max 90 is celebrating 30 years anniversary this year so hopefully we will see some nice collabs and maybe more OG colorways.

SNS: You guys all work for SNS in different departments, Sandra, you run our Stockholm store, and Tatiana and Hanna, you both are part of our customer service team. How has your love for sneakers developed since working in this industry? Tatiana: Before working with sneakers I didn’t really knew that my love for sneakers was in a whole other level, as soon as I started earning my own money I starting to buy my own sneakers until I had a bunch of sneakers but I only wore 5/50 pair and I got enough and donated it, and bought new ones respectfully and that’s when I started working in Sneakersnstuff, I started to appreciate the design and learning more about the history of each sneaker, not just buying a pair of shoes just because but to appreciate the art and buying smart, which is a different love.
You are getting in touch with the finest sneakers daily; can you see a trend that people look for, and what is in your current rotation? I see that the 90s inspired trend is definitely here and that’s what’s hot right now I would say, with mini bags, pattern trousers in different colours and over sized clothing, I love it. For me personally I love simplicity but with a touch of a unique design, it could be a shirt with a different seam. I usually design my own clothing, but I would definitely say that my personal favourite trend is minimalism and simplicity.

Sneakers play a huge part in my daily outfit choice, that’s what settle the whole outfit, if you don’t have the correct sneakers, you don’t have the correct outfit, simple as that.

Are you not scared that your shoes are getting dirty and what’s your favorite pair in your collection? When buying brand new sneakers I’m always a little careful and trying not to get them dirty, especially white sneakers, but when accidents happens I try to move on because that’s what make sneakers, sneakers and that’s how it's supposed to be, try to walk in my shoes they say, well, that’s for a reason I think. I would say that all my Nike sneakers are my favourite but if I had to pick one pair I would say my white Nike x Sacai Blazer Mid are my favourite at the moment, I love the layered design and it’s easy to combine with different outfits.

I’m looking forward to more Nike women’s sneakers in general, from new to classic silhouettes, and with collaborations with female designers, think it’s a good year to highlight that even more.
