SNS SUMMER 2022

THE FORMATIVE YEARS

Our new apparel and accessory collection explores the Formative Years of SNS from the late ’80s to mid-’90s. Inspired by the spirit of sub-cultural creativity that came out of New York at that time, the extensive collection stirs these influences moving in tandem with sartorial ‘90s aesthetics and laidback basics that nod to movies of the time, the soundtracks that followed, and the independent spirit of music and art.

The wide selection of products is something of a stylistic homecoming for SNS including a bright color palette with a vibrant mix of textures and twists such as Mohair Jacquard Crewnecks, Manteco wool shirts, Baseball-inspired jerseys and shorts. Furthermore signature SNS Fleeces, denim jackets and pants, mock neck long sleeves, track suits, as well as several caps, beanies, socks, and home-ready accessories in addition to the seasonal hoodies, crews, and t-shirts.

We joined forces with longtime collaborators Nikolas Ray and Waqas Ghani to showcase “The Formative Years” portraying young creatives in their Formative Years. Fronted by Wiki and Akthesavior of The Underachievers, the NYC-shot campaign highlights the next generation of sub-cultural creativity out of the Big Apple, a force of continues to shape the next generation.

The SNS Summer ‘22 Collection “The Formative Years” will be released exclusively in all SNS stores and online.

SNS SUMMER 2022 - Eriks quote

SNS has been around for a while now. And depending on when you got to know us, you might have different perceptions on what we are about. As we have now started to explore who we are as an apparel brand, it felt natural to start from the beginning and take inspiration from the era that shaped myself and Peter. Our Formative Years, and with that, SNS Formative Years. That said - we are not trying to be a super nostalgic brand, romanticizing on the “good old days”. The main reason that SNS has been able to stay relevant for over 2 decades is because we have always strived to rejuvenate ourselves as a brand. So the connection to the fact that right now is the formative years for a new generation was important in putting this collection together.” - Erik Manzano Fagerlind, SNS Creative Director
