One iconic design, three colorways. Air Max Month couldn’t start any better with a trio of Air Max 87 aka. Air Max 1, that has it all: the return of an icon, a wild animal reference, and the coveted Baltic Blue corduroy rendition. First up is the Air Max 1 “Shima, Shima,” a 1 to 1 retro of the classic release from 2003. Blending Wolf Grey and Plum Eclipse with signature striped collar lining and Japanese characters, this throwback is accompanied by this year’s animal print AM1. Offered in a multi-colored design that pairs the signature Nike animal print with various hits of cow or tiger-like accents and velour laces that adorn the leather construction of this roaring Air Max 1. And finally, the much talked about “Baltic Blue” AM1 with complete corduroy design across the upper. Leaving off the classic mix of leather and mesh while opting for the soft cotton “cord” texture, this Air Max has a “Sesame” Swoosh.
